Our
Story

Located on the Yorke Peninsula, Kadina Football Club was established in 1878. Formed as the Wallaroo Mines Football Club originally, the club played their first game a decade later as a foundation member of the Yorke Peninsula Football League. In 1899, the club played in their first Grand Final against Wallaroo Football Club, and were unfortunately defeated in unusual circumstances in which Wallaroo did not kick a single goal, 0.13 (13) to 1.4 (10).

In 1908 the Club was victorious in winning our first ever Premiership. In 1908 was also the last season the club would be known as the Wallaroo Mines Football Club, converting to the Kadina Football Club. In the first year known as the Kadina Bloodhounds, the club was successful again going back to back Premiers.

Since the inaugural season of 1909, the club has obtained a further 24 A Grade Premierships, most recently in 2023 defeating Moonta Football Club. Over the years the B Grade has been successful in obtaining 19 Premierships, most recently in 2022. In 2020, the Senior Colts obtained their 15th Premiership defeating the Southern Eagles 6.15 (51) to 4.3 (27). Over the years the Junior Colt's have successfully obtained 11 Premierships, with their most recent one in 2010.
